Our DNA

Movement is our unique selling point and one that has always been part of our DNA. Movement features in the name of the club, which is part of a region which is synonymous with movement. Where once the invention of the automobile in Bad Cannstatt got the world moving, today we are continuing to move people on and off the pitch. Movement has been driving us – in terms of sport, culture and society – since 1893.
Our philosophy
Forward together
We have given our movement a direction: “Forward together”. The entire VfB family is behind this philosophy – since 1893, we have stuck together as a team, a club and a region. Only if we stay together can we go beyond our limits and drive progress forward. As such, “Forward together” is not just a promise, but a philosophy to be lived out – every time you set foot in the stadium, face a sporting challenge or carry out work in the community.
